It is hard to believe that I have now been Minister here in Port Glasgow for 4 years. I haveloved my time here as your Minister and
delighted with how busy we have been, not just on a Sunday morning with a growing congregation and Sunday Club but throughout  the week. The church is open 7 days a week with not just our own organisations but also supporting outside organisations too and in turn hundreds of people across our Parish.

We are out and about in our Parish too, not restricting ourselves to the four walls of the building. We provide chaplaincy to three schools and Ferguson Marine. We are about to launch a new bible study outwith the church walls, we have Picnic in the Park, Walk, Talk
and Breakfast, a Pastoral Care team and much more.

Being Parish Minister is a huge privilege, it is something I love doing, serving God and all of the people of Port Glasgow no matter what their age with mission at the beating heart of all that we do.

I am so grateful to the many people who contribute to the work of our church, who ensure that it is open 7 days a week, who go out into our community, share the good news and serve others in a variety of different ways. You are amazing and make my job so
much more manageable as I can’t be everywhere.

In a challenging time for the national church where it would be so easy to focus on the doom and gloom, our church is growing, thriving, moving in the right direction with a “can do” attitude.

I continue to hope and pray as we all should, that more and more people discover our Church, that more and more people want to become part of this Church family. For those who do discover us, for those of you reading this who have not been to Church in a while, we are ready to welcome you.
Your Minister and friend
William
